FYSHEAD – COOL GERMAN UNDERGROUND NEW WAVE late 1980s

 

Actually, I don’t know much about this band, except that they were booked in Berlin as FYS HEAD for a gig. They obviously came from the town of Darmstadt, and Thomas P. Trapp acted as a spokesman for the band. And in 1989 I received a 6-track demo tape which I rediscovered recently and want to share with you. I haven’t altered the sequence of the songs although song 6 seems to stand out a bit.

This recording dates from May 27^th, 1989. It shows the band has got potential as it was recorded live on a 4-track recorder. They audience obviously was outnumbered by the band, but that’s often the fate of an upcoming band. However, FYSHEAD seems to have existed for a short time only. Anyway, this recording is well-worth checking out.
