Little Lord, real name Fritz Gröger, was dwarfish and a good-looking bloke - and for a couple of years he was popular on the German Beat scene. He was supported by various bands like the Dynamites, the Shatters or the Kentuckys. Little Lord put up a good show and when he came onstage with his little tricycle, the audience went crazy. He was a clown with a good voice.
The two recordings here were recorded at Biton-Studio (Frankfurt) around late 1966 or early 1967 and intended for 7” release. Fritz Gröger was backed by the well-known Frankfurt Beat group The King-Beats. (Fortunately) the 7” never saw the light of day. Learn the King-Beats story and the story of Little Lord as published in the book “Shakin‘ All Over – die Beatmusik in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland 1963-1967“ (ISBN 978-3-946502-11-1), written by Hans-Jürgen Klitsch.
