The King-Beats (The Strangers) – demo and different mixes

The King-Beats were a popular Frankfurt Beat group who also did a lot of studio work backing other people.  There are more interesting unreleased King-Beats recordings in ‘older posts’.

The interesting thing here is the demo version of “Too Much Language Business”, which is longer than the released version.

If you want to know more about the King-Beats, you can read about them in the book “Shakin‘ All Over – die Beatmusik in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland 1963-1967“ [ISBN 978-3-946502-11-1] and in the 26-page-booklet coming with the CD “The King-Beats” [Bear Family BCD 16473 AR], both written by Hans-Jürgen Klitsch.

  1. THE KING-BEATS – Too Much Language Business (demo)
  2. THE STRANGERS (THE KING-BEATS) – Needles And Pins (excerpt) (pre-release mix of “Sing Along With Beat”-LP)
  3. THE STRANGERS (THE KING-BEATS) – You’ve Got Hide Your Love Away/Ticket To Ride/Mr. Tambourine Man (pre-release mix of “Sing Along With Beat”-LP)
  4. THE STRANGERS (THE KING-BEATS) – We Can Work It Out/Help/All I Really Want To Do (pre-release mix of “Sing Along With Beat”-LP)
  5. THE STRANGERS (THE KING-BEATS) – These Boots Are Made For Walkin’/Barbara Ann (pre-release mix of “Sing Along With Beat”-LP)
