For me the Netherlands have always been the richest country in regards to Beat and Garage Rock music of the 60s. Considering the population figures in comparison to the number of long-haired bands, there is no equal – not in the UK and not in the USA. Almost any street in whatever town seemed to have its own band. And they were creative and extravagant, not only in music, but also in the way they dressed and styled their hair. The Netherlands in the 60s (in contrast to these days) was a liberal country, very liberal. And that created wonderful bands playing wonderful music. I’ve got more Nederbeat doubles in store for you. Just wait!
